“Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer, and often the supreme disappointment.” – Ansel Adams
Welcome to my photography page,
Getting outside into nature has always been important to me. Only relatively recently have I begun to photograph the places I go to. Living on the West Coast of the US and am lucky to have such an incredible environment to shoot in. I love the mountains of California and Washington and the desert/red rock canyon country of the Southwest. I especially look for the dramatic skies and unique light that you often get in these places.
I am purely a self taught photographer. I will often get up early and go out in the dark or stay out well past “the golden hour”. In fact staying up all night in the cold trying to photograph the Milky Way is not that uncommon for me. I came up with the name Frozen Hands Photography because you can't work a camera with gloves on when it's cold.
I take a lot of pride in my work. It’s all original and uniquely mine. I have handpicked these photos in my galleries because I have been able to capture in some way the shot I was envisioning and I think they will look amazing in a frame. I hope that you enjoy my work and that my photos bring you inner peace and a smile when you look at them.
